The story of the Visitation Daughters of Mary began in 2020, born out of a deep calling to bring hope, healing, and faith to families in need. From humble beginnings, our congregation emerged as a beacon of light, inspired by the spirit of the Blessed Virgin Mary and guided by a mission to restore broken homes through love and spiritual renewal.
In 2021, a significant chapter unfolded with the establishment of our first Motherhouse—a sacred haven for prayer, reflection, and the strengthening of our communal life and mission. This holy space became the heart of our ministry, nurturing the sisters and anchoring the work that was to follow.
By 2022, the gentle ripples of our mission began to grow into waves, as we expanded our outreach programs to reach families grappling with emotional, spiritual, and relational challenges. Through these efforts, we offered not just support, but the gift of hope and healing.
A milestone moment came in 2023, when we held our very first parish mission at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Ngong. This marked the beginning of our broader engagement with the community—bringing faith-filled teachings, prayer, and service directly to the people.
In 2024, we deepened our impact through the development of family counseling and pastoral care programs, touching the lives of thousands with compassionate, faith-based guidance. These initiatives became lifelines for many, helping families find strength and restoration in the midst of their struggles.
And our journey continues. Today, the Visitation Daughters of Mary remain actively engaged in partnerships and social justice initiatives, ever committed to our mission of family restoration. With every step, we move forward in faith—guided by love, inspired by service, and anchored in the grace of God.
